Chapman chalks up fifth Fleet season

Ben Chapman will stay on at the Fleet for a fifth season ahead of the 2024/25 Vanarama National League campaign.

The 25-year-old passed the 100-appearance mark last season and has featured 136 times for the club in total since his arrival back in 2020. Since then, Chapman has enjoyed title success with the Fleet along with individual awards, being voted as supporters’ player of the year for the 2021/22 campaign.

Chapman scored three times in 40 appearances across all competitions last season which included his first ever brace – against AFC Fylde – towards the end of the campaign.

Chapman scored on his debut – 136 games ago – against Hastings in 2020

Before arriving at the Kuflink Stadium, where he is now the longest-serving player alongside Rakish Bingham, the Kent-born player came through the Gillingham academy and then secured a move to Dulwich Hamlet in 2019.

“Five years is a long time, it feels like home,” Chapman told FleetTV. “Every year, it’s getting better, the club and myself, and I’m enjoying it more and more.”
