JOHN

Louis John

The experienced centre-back ended a long association with Sutton United to sign for the Fleet in summer 2024.

He came through Sutton’s youth ranks before a brief spell with Crawley Town but on his return to Gander Green Lane, he helped Sutton to the National League South title in 2015/16. He was part of their squad that embarked on the historic FA Cup run the following year and he also helped the club to a National League play-off berth before his form earned him a move into League Two with Cambridge United.

The Croydon-born defender rejoined Sutton in 2020 and won the National League title and promotion to the EFL plus appeared at Wembley in the EFL Trophy Final.

In all, John turned out more than 250 times for Sutton before returning to the Fleet eight years after a brief loan spell with us.
