Ebbsfleet United’s sponsors had a great day out as they accompanied players and management on a pre-Christmas day out at Lingfield Racecourse this week.
The big loser was captain Tom Bonner who managed to net just a paltry £6.76 on the Tote Placepot and is pictured here struggling to hide his delight as vice chairman Peter Varney gleefully showed him how to wheel and deal, achieving a four-timer at the course. Varney declined to respond to rumours he was responsible for a number of bookmakers closing their satchels and leaving the racecourse early.
Elsewhere, Joe Howe’s tweet revealed a number of peculiar fashion choices on the day but we’ll leave fans to decide the guilty parties here…
