Sean Shields has joined teammate Aiden Palmer by moving to Chelmsford City on a month’s loan.
The 23-year-old winger has only just returned to fitness and featured on the bench for the two FA Cup ties against the Clarets – though Fleet have now granted permission for him to play for City in their next FA Cup game at Basingstoke.
Shields joined Fleet in December 2014 and scored his first goal against Chelmsford in our 5-1 win there on Boxing Day. He has played 19 times for the Fleet in all but has yet to get any game time this season and, in common with our other loaned players, is being sent out to aid his rehabilitation and maintain his fitness.
