Shane returns as club ambassador

Ebbsfleet United announce this morning the appointment of former player Shane Huke as Club Ambassador.

Vice chairman Peter Varney said, “Shane is a very popular individual with staff and supporters at the club and we wanted to bring in someone on a match day to help us improve the service we provide to hospitality clients and to engage with supporters on a wider basis – as well as to promote the club generally. Shane fits the bill ideally and I am delighted to see him return to the club in this new role.”

Shane told FleetOnline, “Ebbsfleet United is very much my club and I am delighted to have been given this opportunity and can’t wait to get started. I have a lot of friends at the club and hope I help to improve the matchday experience in the two main hospitality lounges and at the same time engage with as many supporters as possible.”

Shane joined as a player in the summer of 2013, wining the Kent Senior Cup with the Fleet and appearing in the promotion final, before leaving for Maidstone and winning a Ryman League championship medal earlier this year.
