The first-team squad flew out to Dubai yesterday morning for a pre-planned, end-of-season break. Only Shane Huke and Paul Lorraine missed the trip due to their forthcoming weddings.

Vice chairman Peter Varney said, “It has been a long hard season. We won the Kent Senior Cup and reached the Conference South Promotion Final, the Fourth Qualifying Round of the FA Cup and the last 16 of the FA Trophy and the players deserve this break.

“The disappointment of last Saturday’s Promotion Final in front of a crowd just 205 short of ground capacity and over 3,100 home supporters has made everyone at the club even more committed to bringing Conference Premier football to Stonebridge Road next season.”
