Charles Ondo is the newest face in the Fleet camp as the club can announce his signing ahead of kick-off this afternoon against FC Halifax Town.

The 20-year-old Spanish-born wide left player moves to the Kuflink Stadium after four years with Huddersfield Town, during which time he has also earned four international caps for Equatorial Guinea in the Africa Cup of Nations.

The tall and versatile Ondo started out with Millwall as a youth, moving into Huddersfield’s B-team shortly after joining the then-Championship club in 2020. After signing a professional contract, he made his senior debut in October 2022 against Hull City in the Championship (pictured below) and impressed regularly for the Terriers’ U21s in a variety of positions including left-back, centre-back and striker!

Direct and speedy, Ondo crossed the Irish Sea last year to gain further experience in playing for Waterford on loan.
