Moses back in the fold

Liam Daish has begun rebuilding his Fleet forward line with the signing of 25-year-old Moses Ashikodi.

Ashikodi returns to Stonebridge Road after a 16-game spell with the Fleet in 2010 during which he netted 11 goals.

Ashikodi has represented England at Under 16, 17, 18 and 19 levels and began his professional career with Millwall in 2003. After five games with the Lions he moved on to West Ham and enjoyed a brief loan with Gillingham before heading north of the border for one game with Rangers. Returning south, Moses joined Watford before heading to Bradford City, Swindon Town and Hereford United on loan. Shrewsbury Town and Kettering Town then featured on his CV before a loan with promoted York City last season.

?Moses has sometimes found it hard to settle at some clubs? said Daish. ?But the last time he was with us was the most productive of his career. He was happy here and as good as gold. He is exactly the sort of striker I wanted to bring in.?

?He was only with us for 16 games last time around and scored eleven goals, and I will be delighted if he can keep up that strike rate.?
