There will be a minute’s applause at 2:59pm on Saturday, before kick-off, to remember Chris Pilkinton who died on April 7th.
The matchday programme cover has also been dedicated to the club’s well-loved maintenance manager, with a tribute to him inside from club directors, members of his family and others at the Fleet.
Saturday’s game v Eastbourne Borough is, of course, the club’s Community Day and Chris was instrumental in helping set up previous such events. Fleet director Stuart Butler-Gallie said, “I would personally like to dedicate the day’s fun, laughter and enjoyment to Chris Pilkinton, who helped me to organise all the Fleet Community Days since KEH took control of the club in 2013. I will miss him and all the laughs we had along the way.”
Chris’s funeral will take place at 3.00pm on Wednesday, 17th May, at Gravesham Crematorium.
