Striker Danny Mills has become Ebbsfleet United’s first new signing of the close season after the 26-year-old departed Whitehawk last month.
Fleet boss Daryl McMahon swooped quickly with other clubs hot on Mills’ heels to land the 6ft 4in hotshot after his five years in Sussex came to an end.
Mills joined the Hawks in 2012 from Carshalton Athletic and was top scorer at the club for three seasons running, regularly featuring amongst the National League South’s top goalscorers. Even in a struggling side last season, Mills made the league’s team of the year for the second campaign in succession and his aerial ability and goalscoring prowess have long been on McMahon’s want list.
Mills, who scored more than 100 goals in 200+ games for the Hawks, began his career at Croydon before moving on to Crawley Town and then Peterborough United when they were in the Championship. He has also played at National League level for Torquay United, Rushden & Diamonds, Histon, Kettering Town and Tamworth.
Welcome to the Fleet, Danny!
