Macca serves up Connors to fill left-back berth

Daryl McMahon has made a second addition to his defence for next season with Republic of Ireland U21 international Jack Connors signing on the dotted line.

The 21-year-old London-born full-back has played for Dagenham & Redbridge for the past four years having graduated through their youth ranks and counts an FA Cup tie at Goodison Park last season amongst his memorable moments.

After coming through the Fulham and Dagenham youth systems, Connors gained experience on loan with Hendon before making his debut for the Daggers in 2013. He featured regularly in League Two over the next two years, making 56 appearances for the Essex club, before moving on to Boreham Wood on loan at the tail end of last season and helping them avoid the drop from the National League.

A composed, left-sided defender, since 2014 he has also turned out regularly for the Republic of Ireland U21s, with 14 appearances to his name (he is pictured in action below left v Germany).
