Daryl McMahon has become the 18th player to commit to the Fleet for 2014-15 after he signed on the dotted line to extend his playing career at Stonebridge Road.
As youth academy manager for the forthcoming season, McMahon was always going to be on the Fleet scene but he formalised his playing contract as well to give manager Steve Brown further options in a new-look midfield, following the signings yesterday of Tom Fraser and Matt Johnson.
McMahon turned out 51 times for the Fleet last season and weighed in with his fair share of goals, too, scoring 11 times – seven of those coming in the final weeks of 2013-14.
The experienced 30-year-old is already hard at work in his academy job and is all set to take up residence at the Fleet’s new training ground, more news of which will follow in the next week.
