Macca goes the extra Miles

Ebbsfleet United have concluded their fourth summer signing with the capture of former Tottenham Hotspur goalkeeper Jonathan Miles.

The 22-year-old Essex-born keeper was part of the Spurs youth setup from the age of nine and graduated to a professional deal in 2012/13 via accomplished performances in the Premier League side’s U18s team. He earned new deals at White Hart Lane three seasons running while also playing in the Football League during a loan spell at Dagenham & Redbridge. He was released by Spurs earlier this month.

Having also turned out for Whitehawk on loan during 2013/14 (when he played against the Fleet in our 1-1 draw at the Enclosed Ground), Miles is no stranger to the Vanarama National League South. The 6ft 2in goalkeeper has also played for Tottenham’s U21 side and for Brentwood Town on loan.
