Loan moves for Fleet pair

Fleet have finalised two loan moves for players with Charlie Sheringham joining Bishop’s Stortford and Alex Osborn switching to Maidstone United.

Sheringham returns to one of his former clubs and will play alongside Matt Johnson, who is also currently on loan in Hertfordshire. Both players will be eligible for Bishop’s Stortford’s FA Cup tie this weekend. Sheringham has just returned to fitness after a long lay-off and appeared in Fleet’s development game against Woking and competitive football is just what he needs to return to match fitness and lay claim to a place in Daryl McMahon’s squad.

Meanwhile Alex Osborn, who has been on loan at Hayes & Yeading for the past month and played eight games, scoring twice, will join up with Maidstone United for two months. He will not be eligible for the league game against the Fleet on 3rd October but can play in the Stones’ FA Cup campaign.
