Let’s get the perfect 10!

Ebbsfleet United supporters are continuing to answer the call as the club and Fleet Trust have now taken plenty of bookings for an eighth coach to Sutton on Saturday, with travel entirely free for all those booking a seat. But that superb turnout hasn’t stopped the club issuing a rallying cry this morning to fill 10 coaches.

Vice chairman Peter Varney told FleetOnline, “The response so far has been phenomenal. The club, the manager and players are delighted to get the backing of so many people and it will hopefully give them even more impetus on Saturday to run out in front of so many fans and to see so much red in what is going to be a huge match for this football club. But let’s not rest on our laurels – we are hoping that one last push over these final two days can see us hit the Number Ten mark for our coach bookings.”

Fleet boss Daryl McMahon, whose players were buoyed by the response of fans to the goals against Chelmsford after viewing video footage, said: “I’ve made no disguise of the fact that the fans have helped us every step of the way this season and that’s been especially important away from home. It’s helped no end with our away record and this one last push could make all the difference if we can take three points at Sutton. Eight coaches is a typically excellent response from the supporters and I know the club are looking for 10 coaches now. That level of support, together with all those travelling by road and rail, would be something else to run out to this weekend.”

To book a coach seat, completely free of charge at the club’s expense, please telephone John Burgess on 07951 610878.

Other details about the match can be found here or on the Fleet Trust website. Coaches depart from Stonebridge Road at 12.30 and the club shop is open from 10.30am for “red” purchases!
