Leon loan expires

LEON CROOKS RETURNS TO WYCOMBE WANDERERS AFTER HIS LOAN DEAL EXPIRES…

Defender Leon Crooks has returned to parent club Wycombe Wanderers after his final loan month expired following Fleet’s win at Weymouth, which confirmed the club’s Premier division status for next season.

Crooks, 23, arrived at Stonebridge Road on January 16, signing initially for one month, and his capture was announced on the same day as Derek Duncan also arrived from Wycombe. He made his debut in the 1-0 home win over Rushden & Diamonds and went on to play 21 times under Liam Daish, including both legs of the FA Trophy semi-final and the quarter-final win over Wrexham.

The Fleet would like to thank Leon for his contribution during a vital part of the club’s season which helped in no small way towards avoiding the drop.
