Hall heads for Lewes loan

Fleet goalkeeper Brandon Hall is to feature for Ryman Premier Division side Lewes after joining them in a one-month loan deal. The agreement takes him up to March 14, when Lewes will travel to Maidstone United and Hall will face his former teammate Billy Bricknell.

The 21-year-old goalkeeper broke into the Fleet first-team in September, ousting Preston Edwards as No.1 and going on to make 22 appearances this season – together with a call-up and 90 minutes for the England C side against Estonia. (He has also been added to the England C contingency squad for Tuesday’s game against Cyprus.)

Lately, however, since his suspension after being sent off against Basingstoke Town, Hall has had to settle for a place on the bench as Edwards has regained the favoured spot and manager Jamie Day is keen for his goalkeeper to maintain match readiness.

Lewes have previously taken Lloyd Harrington and Jordan Sanderson on loan this season, while former Fleet midfielder Tommy Fraser is a regular starter for the Rooks.
