Winger Will Randall is the Fleet’s third new signing this past week as the 27-year-old arrives on a permanent deal following his departure from Notts County in the summer.
Randall secured promotion to the EFL alongside Louis John as Sutton United won the 2021 National League title and he also played at Wembley for them in the following season’s EFL Trophy Final (below).
The Swindon-born wide player made his senior debut for his hometown club in League One the day after he turned 17 and went on to make nine appearances for them before Wolves signed him for a fee in 2016. While at Molineux, he had loan spells with Walsall, Forest Green Rovers and Spanish third-tier club FC Jumila.
The Fleet’s newest signing settled at Sutton after his release by Wolves, joining the U’s in 2019 after a brief spell at Newport County. He spent four years at Gander Green Lane, making almost 130 appearances and scoring 18 times as Sutton went from lower mid-table in the National League to eighth in League Two in three seasons.
Randall moved on to League Two new boys Notts County in summer 2023 and featured 13 times for the Magpies before returning south this summer.
