Having enjoyed a breakthrough season in 2022/23, the versatile Franklin Domi will be showcasing his talents once more at the Kuflink Stadium throughout the next campaign as he pens a new deal at the Fleet.
The 22-year-old former Albanian youth international got his first taste of the club in a loan deal from QPR at the end of the 2021/22 season. Those few appearances, and games against the Fleet as a Rangers U23, convinced Dennis Kutrieb that he was a player with a future at the Kuflink Stadium and after his release from Loftus Road, Domi signed last summer.
A full-back on arrival at the club, Domi impressed in a number of more forward-lying positions, showing strength, determination and an eye for goal as he increasingly laid claim to a starting position for Kutrieb’s champions.
He was only a whisker away from earning the Fleet a replay at Fleetwood Town and a place in the Emirates FA Cup Third Round draw before his first goal followed soon after, in the 6-0 demolition of Worthing at Woodside Road in December.
An excellent solo goal at home to Havant & Waterlooville added to his scoring total and he plundered further goals at Dover Athletic and Farnborough to end the season with four to his name from 16 starts and 19 substitute appearances.
