Festive feel in Gravesham

It’s all things Christmassy in the borough this weekend as Gravesham Council’s final Frost Fair for Christmas 2017 is to be held at the refurbished Gravesend Borough Market over the weekend of 16th/17th December. It is themed ‘all things Christmas’ and Fleet fans wanting to attend are being asked to dress up in anything to do with Christmas: that’s Santa, reindeers and snowmen — and if you don’t have a costume, just pop on some tinsel and your Christmas jumper!

Throughout the day there will be carol singing, storytelling, ice performances and face painters. The final parade on Saturday will start from New Road at 11.30am and once again head down to the market for the finale of this year’s Gravesham Christmas festivities. A timetable of events is below…

Saturday 16 December
All-day Christmas market, events, entertainment and Ice Skating.
10.00am-4.00pm – Ice Rink on Market Square.
11.30am – Parade from New Road with Santa and friends.
11.30am-1.30pm – Micky the Magician.
12.00pm – Golden hour on the skate rink: see
Elsa from Frozen skating and other characters walking on the ice rink.
12.00pm – A singing performance by Millie Varnham.
1.00pm – Mark Keeley’s Rock ‘n’ Roll show on the Old Fish Market stage.
2.00pm – Centre Stage Theatre Academy.
3.00pm – Rock Choir.
Inside the market there will be face painters
and arts & crafts activities. Outside the market is the ice rink.

Sunday 17 December
All-day Christmas market with ice skating outide and singing performances inside the market:
12.00pm-12.45pm – Lee as Elvis.
1.00pm-1.45pm Hotsy Totsy.
2.00pm-2.30pm Millie Varnham.
2.45pm-3.15pm Harrison Pettman.
