Fleet to give local school children a free taste of Non-League Day

Ebbsfleet United are welcoming local school children to the Kuflink Stadium for Non-League Day this year when Year 6 youngsters and their parents/guardians will get to taste the excitement of the promotion hunt.

The Fleet’s home fixture with visitors Slough Town is set for Saturday, 28th March, and the club aims to draw on its successful EUFC Schools Programme to give some of the youngest members of our local community an afternoon to remember.

The club’s ongoing EUFC Schools initiative is a popular and flourishing project that has already helped raise its profile among teachers, pupils and parents across schools throughout the borough, with ground visits and learning tools part of an enjoyable, educational and beneficial programme.

The upcoming Slough Town match, to coincide with the popular nationwide Non-League Day, will be another positive step in building and encouraging this growing support locally.

Our schools programme most recently featured a trip by first-team strikers Kwesi Appiah and Dominic Samuel to Shears Green Junior School (above) where they took children’s questions, offered plenty of encouragement to pupils and explained all about their roles in professional sport.

If any pupils are interested in attending our match against Slough but their school is not currently part of the EUFC Schools Programme, please contact us at [email protected] and we will be happy to accommodate.
