Slatter out for the season

Fleet midfielder Danny Slatter receives bad news about his knee injury and will sit out the rest of the season.

Ebbsfleet United midfielder Danny Slatter has had keyhole surgery on his knee but the procedure has shown a tear to his anterior crutiate ligament. Unfortunately the only course of action for this type of injury is for Slatter to undergo an operation to reconstruct the ligament, ruling the former Welling player out for the remainder of this season. Slatter, who is only six games shy of his 100th appearance for the Fleet, was the next in line for that milestone after Paul McCarthy’s 100th game against Burton Albion, but the Welshman will now have to wait until the 2008-09 season to attain that prize.
