The Fleet have today sealed the signing of winger Brendan Kiernan as Steve Brown strengthens his squad going into the back end of the season.
The right-sided player, who turns 22 next week, is no stranger to Fleet fans who saw him play four of Bromley’s five games against the Fleet last season.
He was a regular in the Bromley squad that led the Conference South for so long in 2013/14 and he set up two goals in his side’s 3-1 win at Stonebridge Road on New Year’s Day.
He began his career in youth football with Bromley, Fulham and Crystal Palace before joining AFC Wimbledon as a 16-year-old. He made his Dons debut aged 18 in the season they won promotion from the Conference and earned 18 appearances in the Football League under manager Terry Brown.
He joined Bromley in the summer of 2013 and won plaudits for his performances on the right side of midfield, with fans at Hayes Lane disappointed when he departed in the close season.
He signed briefly for Staines Town and former teammate Marcus Gayle in September before team and budget restructuring saw him depart two weeks ago. Hampton & Richmond had hoped to sign him after he impressed in a trial game but the lure of another tilt at Conference South promotion has seen him move to the PHB Stadium.
