Brown brings Bricknell back into Fleet fold

Ebbsfleet United’s top scorer Billy Bricknell will be back at the club for pre-season training after signing a contract to keep him at Stonebridge Road into 2014-15.

The 25-year-old striker, who finished just two goals off second place to rank fifth in the Skrill South goalscoring charts last season with 16 league goals, extended his stay almost a year to the day after arriving at the club from Dover Athletic. He will rekindle his strike partnership with Ben May for a third season running while also finding competition in the form of new signing Matt Godden.

Bricknell becomes the 19th signed-up member of Steve Brown’s squad for the forthcoming league season but the Fleet boss remains keen to fill a few more squad places before he gets down to business in pre-season friendlies next month.
