Ebbsfleet United have signed 27-year-old defender Patrick Ada after two impressive performances in the Fleet?s pre season games against Tonbridge and Reading.
Ada lined up alongside Paul Lorriane and the six-foot tall centre back soon formed a good partnership with the Fleet skipper.
Born in Cameroon, Ada began his career with Redbridge before joining Barnet for 14 appearances. In 2005 he appeared for St Albans and then moved on to Exeter City before establishing himself as a cornerstone of the Histon defence where he made 77 apearances. The Football League beckoned and Ada joined Crewe for 57 appearances over two seasons, and a brief spell in Scotland with Kilmarnock was followed by nine games with Burton Albion last season.
?I have been very pleased with the standard of players who have come in during pre season? said Fleet manager Liam Daish. ?Patrick has slotted in well alongside Paul Lorriane and they seem to have struck up an instant understanding. We were lucky to have Yado Mambo with us on loan from Charlton for much of last season and now we have added another commanding figure to our defence.?
