Phipp fits the bill for fourth season at the Fleet

Fleet boss Steve Brown has completed his 10th signing of the close season following news that midfielder Tom Phipp has agreed a new deal at Stonebridge Road.

The 20-year-old is set to embark upon his fourth season at the Fleet after breaking through with some style aged just 17 during Fleet’s previous stay in Conference South. A pivotal member of that promotion-winning squad, the former Arsenal youth scored 10 goals in 39 games in his first season and has since cemented his place in the Fleet midfield in two more seasons in the Conference Premier, amassing more than 130 games and 22 goals – no mean feat for a player yet to reach his 21st birthday.

“I am delighted to have sorted out a new contract with the club,” Tom said. “There is a lot of excitement and publicity around Ebbsfleet United at present and I am really looking forward to pre-season and meeting the new squad and then playing my part in what we all hope will be a successful season.”
