Jack Wakely: update

Following Jack Wakely’s injury at Barnet on Bank Holiday Monday – and following subsequent scans and diagnosis – we are now in a position to be able to update supporters.

Jack was taken to hospital on Monday and subsequently assessed and swiftly attended to by Fleet and Wycombe Wanderers medical staff. Further scans and assessment this week by consultants have unfortunately revealed that Jack has sustained a serious injury and damage to ligaments that will require surgery.

The club sends the very best wishes of all of us in anticipation of a complete and speedy recovery from injury and we hope to see Jack back playing football at the earliest opportunity.

Jack has featured in five of the Fleet’s six games this season after signing on a season-long loan from Wycombe Wanderers during the summer.
