Cundle carves out fresh chance for new season

Greg Cundle has earned a return to the Kuflink Stadium for 2021/22, the former Gillingham attacker having turned in an impressive conclusion to last season, playing regularly in the Fleet’s set of friendly and training matches.

The 24-year-old had been on Fleet’s list of released players issued in March but with a number of excellent performances in matches since then, Cundle has been given the opportunity to link up once more with the squad in 2021/22.

Cundle scored in a friendly win over Sittingbourne recently and laid on plenty of assists for his strike partners throughout March and April as he showed what Fleet can expect from him following his recovery from a knee injury.

Now back to full fitness, Cundle – who has also played for East Grinstead Town, Margate, Billericay Town, Kingstonian and Horsham – has staked his claim, playing in both a striking role and a marauding wide left position. His hard work and attitude has allowed the player to seize his chance and convinced Dennis Kutrieb to reward him with a return next season.
