Fleet hail Community Day success

Ebbsfleet United have been delighted with the response and feedback following our 2017 Community Day.

A record crowd for an EUFC Community Day (with an 80%-plus take-up on all Community Tickets issued for the day which was a fantastic response) was enjoyed by all: the sun shone, music played, people laughed and we witnessed a superb second-half comeback performance with four great goals. All-in-all it was a wonderful send-off for Chris Pilkinton, who helped so much in organising previous such events, and goes down as another successful EUFC Community Day.

EUFC director Stuart Butler-Gallie said, “There are so many people to thank, but I must mention some personally – firstly Kenny Clark for helping me to organise the event (it definitely wasn’t handball Clarky!!), Billy and Mary and their team for the ever popular Fun Fair rides and stalls, Russ and Paul from No Limit Street Band for organising the High Voltage Big Band, led by Steve Lee ,and the awesome kids from the Knights Academy, Emily Barker and the girls from The Dance Academy, Yetunde Adeola and all from the Kent African Caribbean Forum for the food and Kedders for organising the U8s Academy mascots and the U9s penalty shootout against Barming Colts at half time (synchronised with the sprinkler system and an intermittent commentary from Dave Lockwood)!

“To get almost two and a half thousand to Stonebridge Road and with so much of our ticket offer taken up was terrific and we hope everyone who visited us at our last home game will be back again this and next season to cheer on their local side.”
