Fleet winger Danny Haynes has joined National League side Boreham Wood on loan for a month.
The former Ipswich and Charlton player, 28, joined Fleet in August – his first game ironically a pre-season friendly at Boreham Wood. He has made 31 appearances this season, 20 of those coming from off the substitutes’ bench, and scored three goals.
With the signing of Sam Deering, playing time for Danny was likely to be reduced and with Boreham Wood having expressed an interest in the player last summer, they were keen to strike a deal with the Fleet. Danny will go straight into their squad as they seek to avoid a drop back down to South level.
