Fleet to host Tonbridge in KSC

Ebbsfleet United will play last year’s finalists Tonbridge Angels in the first round of the Kent Senior Cup, with the winners away to either Chatham Town or Sittingbourne in the second round.

The club has already confirmed that the game will go ahead on Tuesday, September 3rd, kick-off 7.45pm. Admission prices will be confirmed in due course. League clubs Charlton and Gillingham are once again taking part this season.

The Kent FA have also revealed that the final will take place at Gillingham’s Priestfield Stadium as part of the county cup’s 125th anniversary celebrations, returning to the League One club’s ground for the first time in more than 20 years – when Fleet lost out 1-0 to Dover in the final.

Paul Dolan, Chief Executive of the Kent FA explained, “In recent years the final has been hosted by one of the competing clubs, but for our 125th Anniversary final we wanted a marquee venue for the occasion.

“We’re very grateful to chairman Paul Scally and the team at Gillingham for agreeing to host this occasion, and we’ll be making further announcements about celebration events to mark the 125th Anniversary as the season progresses.”
