It will come as little surprise to Fleet fans that as a result of the ongoing weather situation, Saturday’s match at the Kuflink Stadium at home to Wrexham has been postponed.
The National League has given clubs permission to make early inspections and in cases where the pitch is already clearly frozen, a match official does not need to make an unnecessary visit to the ground in current weather conditions to make a call for postponement.
As is obvious to anyone local to the ground, the deteriorating weather conditions means there is zero chance of the pitch being playable by Saturday and as such the club, in consultation with the National League and Wrexham, has decided to postpone the match now.
A new date for the fixture will be agreed between all parties as soon as possible and communicated to fans when available.
The office at the Kuflink Stadium has closed at midday today and will remain so tomorrow to avoid our staff having to make potentially hazardous trips on the roads.
