The Fleet are pleased to announce the launch of our new hub facility on the main concourse at Ebbsfleet International Station.
Situated in prime position by the entrance/exit doors to the busy transport facility, the hub was this week wrapped in bright and bold EUFC branding to attract supporters, commuters, new residents and visitors.
We’ve now unwrapped the design for all to see which tells the story of the club’s foundation and evolution at the heart of the local community, as well as providing information about forthcoming matches, ticketing and retail.
A display screen at the hub will broadcast information about matchdays, retail, event hire at the Kuflink Stadium and show recent game highlights and interviews. We will also have the ability to collect enquiries and retail leads as well as having a club representative in situ at the hub – which will be fully open shortly – during rush-hour times.
Meanwhile, we have also been busy at the Kuflink Stadium with our retail and club branding thanks to our kit suppliers New Balance. They have provided a series of wall wraps in various positions at the club, designed in-house at the Fleet, showcasing our rich heritage and links between past, present and future.
Visitors to the club shop this Saturday can see some of the new branding on show, with an array of Fleet faces now peering out at you from behind the counter, while in our main reception area we have the story of the Fleet told from our origins in 1891 right up to the present day – and pay homage to the five players who played the most games at Stonebridge Road.
Elsewhere, the players’ tunnel sports bold red branding and a large depiction of our supporters to surround the home and away dressing-room doors. The staff corridor is now a throwback to various Northfleet, Gravesend, Gravesend & Northfleet and Ebbsfleet United teams down the years while the players’ corridor and medical area walls depict more of our fans and players, led by the late Paul McCarthy’s well-loved holding aloft of the FA Trophy.
We would like to thank New Balance for their amazing help and support in enabling this branding to be showcased at the Kuflink Stadium. We are keen to roll out similar Fleet-centric designs throughout the stadium and any new bar facilities as and when development progresses on those.
Fleet CEO Damian Irvine said of the two branding projects, “These are developments that have been planned for some time as part of our desire to make Ebbsfleet United much more visible in the local area. Lockdown and the ongoing Covid situation has meant we have had to wait until 2022 to unveil our hub at Ebbsfleet International Station – but we now have a hugely visible and eye-catching presence that will showcase all that is good about our football club to thousands of rail passengers every day – it will benefit the football operation at the club as well as our growing non-matchday portfolio including venue hire and events.
“I would also like to thank New Balance for providing the branding wraps around the club shop and other areas at the Kuflink Stadium. They have allowed us to express our traditions and history with this design project and we are all enormously pleased with the result that I’m sure supporters will agree adds a real sense of what this club is about to visitors.
“Thanks also go to Wallace Print who worked with us on installation for both projects this week for their quick turnaround and ongoing help and advice.”
