Luke O'Neill

A summer 2022 signing, the full-back boasts more than 300 Football League appearances through his career. The former Leicester City academy product, who made his senior debut in the Championship for the Foxes, helped Mansfield Town into the Conference play-offs in his first full season of competitive football in 2011/12. Such was his form with the Stags that Burnley paid a fee to take him to Turf Moor in 2012.

He played for York City and Scunthorpe United on loan before two seasons at League One level with Southend United. The defender continued to see regular action in League One with Gillingham where he spent a further two seasons and AFC Wimbledon on another two-year deal.

He was with Kettering Town briefly before a return to the EFL with Stevenage where he helped the Boro secure the points that ensured their League status. An excellent crosser of the ball from his right-back berth and with clinical set-piece delivery too, O’Neill has an excellent record of assists to add to his defensive duties and has one of the best goals return of a Fleet defender in recent years with 11 scored by the end of 2023/24.
