The 2025/26 season heads into its final month very shortly but not before one last clash in March – and for the Fleet that clash takes the form of Slough Town for the second Saturday matchday in succession at the Kuflink Stadium.
Slough have reached the 50-point mark so arguably have little to play for but manager Scott Davies insists his side will most definitely not have their minds “on the beach” as they still need a few more points on the board to be absolutely sure of survival.
The Fleet gate will be boosted by more than 200 schoolchildren invited as part of our successful EUFC Schools Programme, plus their parents or guardians, as we celebrate Non-League Day with these young members of our community.
Form guide
Slough slipped to defeat at in-form Farnborough last weekend in a second-half display that Davies called “unacceptable”. The Rebels have had some great results in beating top sides in 2026 but have disappointed, too, in performing inconsistently against teams in, around and below them in the table. They have only won two of their last 10, but one of those was an impressive victory away at Hornchurch.
Slough played in midweek in a county cup semi-final which they lost on penalties to Wycombe Wanderers. Player-manager Davies named himself in the squad for the first time for a month and the Rebels were also able to welcome back a number of players after injury, having had to make up a bench using Academy youngsters in recent weeks. Former Fleet centre-back Reiss Greenidge is set to serve a suspension having received two yellow cards last Saturday.

Last time out
Bottom of the table heading into the Bank Holiday August game earlier this season (above), a last-minute goal on the break sealed a 2-0 victory for Slough at Arbour Park. The Rebels’ last visit here was a 2-2 draw in the 2023/24 FA Cup (below) and the referee that day, Steven Hughes, is also the match official this Saturday.

Who’s who
Winger/midfielder Johnny Goddard has passed 150 games across two spells for Slough Town, joining them originally from St Albans City and having briefly been with Boreham Wood last season. The 32-year-old spent a season with the Fleet in 2019/20 but made his name at Woking, also playing in the League with Swindon Town. He scored Slough’s late goal against us back in August and is a key figure in the side.
Wide man Tyrese Dyce caught the eye in a breakthrough season in 2023/24 when he helped Slough send the Fleet out of the FA Cup that season. A versatile left-sided defender or winger who can play higher up either side of the pitch, his excellent form saw him move up a division with Maidenhead last season but he returned to Slough in the summer.
