The Fleet make a quick return to action, once again on our travels, as Hemel Hempstead host this next National South fixture this Tuesday night.
Form guide
The Fleet will look to put Saturday behind them after falling short to Hampton & Richmond in the closing stages of the game after a comeback from two goals down.
Similar to the Fleet, Hemel have had a mixed run of results in the opening six matches, picking up three wins, two draws and a defeat. Saturday’s result saw the fifth-placed Tudors secure a welcome three points at home to Torquay United.
Head to head
In the previous 10 meetings between the two sides, the Fleet have come out on top four times with the other six exchanges all ending in draws. The Fleet’s last visit to Vauxhall Road (pictured) ended one goal a piece in 2022/23, Jack Paxman on the scoresheet for the visitors that day.

The biggest win for the Fleet against Hemel Hempstead came in March 2016 with a six-goal triumph that saw six different goalscorers at the Kuflink Stadium. Our best result at Vauxhall Road was a 3-1 win in January 2022.
Who’s who
Millar Matthews-Lewis joined in the summer from fellow National League South side Farnborough. The 20-year-old is currently the club’s leading goalscorer this season with three including a brace on Saturday to beat Torquay. Towards the back end of last season, Matthews-Lewis spent two months at Vauxhall Road on loan before making the move permanent.
Michael Johnson had a long spell with local rivals St Albans City and the goalkeeper arrived at Vauxhall Road in the summer. The 31-year- old closed in on 150 appearances for St Albans and has also played for Braintree Town earlier in his career.
Charlie Rowan is a former Fleet defender (pictured below) who is also a new face at the Tudors this summer following his departure from Weymouth. He broke through the academy ranks at Watford and then signed for the Fleet for the 2020/21 campaign when he featured seven times for the club before joining Oxford City.

The manager
In the dugout for the Tudors is 39-year-old Lee Allinson, son of former Boreham Wood and St Albans boss Ian. The ex-Biggleswade Town and Hendon manager joined the club in December and also spent a few years on the staff at St Albans.
