Preview: Hartlepool United

It’s the long road north for the first league fixture of April for the Fleet and the chance for the first time this season to complete a double as Josh Wright’s side seek to extend an unbeaten National League run to four games.

Form guide
Hartlepool have had a mixed run of form lately but have picked up two wins in their last five with successes against Boston United and Halifax Town. There have been draws with Solihull Moors and Eastleigh in that time and before that Pools lost four in a row to Altrincham, Aldershot Town, York City and AFC Fylde.

That has all but ended any last hopes Hartlepool had for the play-offs though a win this weekend would keep them in the hunt.

Last time out
Back in September the Fleet secured a first win of the campaign after Rakish Bingham’s first-half effort from the edge of the area made the difference and handed the home side the three points. The Fleet have a good record at what is now called the Prestige Group Stadium with Dom Samuel scoring an injury-time equaliser there last season.
