Preview: Faversham Town

After one week back to league action, the Fleet switch to the Emirates FA Cup again this Saturday as fellow Kent side Faversham Town make the trip to the Kuflink Stadium.

The Fleet enjoyed a comfortable win over Ashford Town (Middlesex) in the previous round after firing five past the Combined Counties League side.

A late first-half goal by Aaron Cosgrave sent the Fleet into the break in front with a second-half brace from Toby Edser and goals from Ben Coker and Ben Chapman sealing the deal.

Faversham’s journey to the third round
A historic cup victory for Faversham Town saw the Step 4 side knock out National League South side Maidenhead United with a 62nd minute goal from Tashi-Jay Kwayie.

The Lilywhites had to pass through the preliminary rounds and comfortable victories against Balham (5-0) and Merstham (4-2) earned them a tie against Hastings United where Faversham breezed to victory after a replay.

Personnel
Tommie Fagg is a versatile attacking player currently playing behind the forward line with experience at Harlow Town, Sittingbourne, Ashford, Tonbridge, and Chatham Town. The 27-year-old joined Faversham at the back end of last season, playing a key role in securing the SCEFL title.

Tashi-Jay Kwayie is an adaptable forward capable of playing in a number of attacking roles. He has previously played under Tommy Warrilow at Ashford United and Thamesmead Town. He’s well into double figures already this season in terms of goals, including the match-winning strike at Maidenhead in the last round, building on an impressive 30-goal haul in the 2024/25 campaign.

Bradley Simms is a versatile full-back and former Ashford United club captain and he reunited with boss Tommy Warrilow, who had originally brought him in to Ashford from VCD Athletic.

The manager: Tommy Warrilow
Appointed in January 2024, the experienced manager is no stranger to Fleet fans, having previously played for the club as well as Torquay, Sittingbourne and Crawley Town amongst others. His managerial career includes a seven-year stay with Tonbridge Angels, where he achieved promotion to the National South in 2011, along with spells in charge of Ashford United, Thamesmead Town and Cray Wanderers.

Tickets
Tickets can be purchased online here with prices rising at midnight. Supporters can also buy on the day at our ticket windows next to the stadium reception/entrance (but not at the turnstiles themselves). It is an all-pay fixture so season tickets as usual are not valid in the Emirates FA Cup.

Car-parking is available for the special matchday price of £3 at Ebbsfleet International Car Park C. This is cash only and parking is available from 12:30pm. Please make sure you get a ticket from the steward in attendance and not from the ticketing machines which will not apply the discounted matchday price.

The Rose pub
A reminder that The Rose Pub (1 Rose Street, DA11 9EQ) is open from 11am to home and away supporters. Located close to both the ground and Northfleet and Ebbsfleet stations, it’s an ideal venue for that pre- and post-match drink with food available throughout the day.
