Preview: Chippenham Town

The Fleet get 2026’s away campaign started at Chippenham Town this Saturday looking to close in on those play-off places at the top of the Enterprise National League South.

Form guide
Despite being bottom of the National League South table, Saturday’s hosts are currently unbeaten in four matches – a win against Bath City on Boxing Day was backed up with draws at AFC Totton and Worthing, where they led the league leaders 2-0, with their most recent win coming on Tuesday night at home to Slough Town. From looking doomed to relegation before Christmas, the Bluebirds are on the up once again.

The Fleet remain three matches unbeaten on the road following victories at Chelmsford and Dover to close out 2025, along with a draw against Farnborough at the end of November. Yet to get our league campaign going in 2026, this next fixture will begin a run of Saturday/Tuesday matches through to the end of February.

Last time out
Our last clash with Chippenham was the opening home game of the National South season. Aaron Cosgrave came on as a second-half substitute and secured the winner within minutes of making his appearance. This will be our first visit to Hardenhuish Park since a 0-0 draw on Valentine’s Day in 2023.

Who’s who
Harry Parsons is a 23-year-old striker and current leading goalscorer with five, taking his overall tally for the Bluebirds to 14 across two spells at the club. Parsons first joined Chippenham during the 2022/23 campaign, before returning to Swindon Town at the end of his loan stay and later joining Farnborough.

Reece Fleet is an experienced midfielder who joined Chippenham Town following his departure from Oxford City where he spent eight seasons. Fleet featured over 260 times for the Hoops. Since his arrival this summer, he has played in all league matches.
