Preview: AFC Totton

The final home match before three successive away games sees first-timers AFC Totton at the Kuflink Stadium this Saturday.

Form guide
AFC Totton are 15th in the National League South table, 11 points behind the Fleet in fifth. Due to postponements, Saturday’s visitors have yet to play a match in February with their last game coming against Dover Athletic on the 24th January. The Stags were victorious in that one by 3-0, with a red card for Dover helping them on their way.

Despite three successive draws, the Fleet remain unbeaten at home in the league since early December and will look to continue that run this weekend – and a win against the Stags could put them fourth, continuing the climb up into the top positions.

Last time out
It was a win on the road for the Fleet back in November, although that was overshadowed after a serious leg injury to goalkeeper Gio Bellagambi in first-half. Finlay Barnes and Gene Kennedy were on the scoresheet and it could have been a much higher total for the Fleet but for then Totton goalkeeper Matt Hall’s series of excellent saves throughout the match.

Club connections
Craig Tanner departed the Kuflink Stadium in January 2025 and helped the Stags to secure promotion. Tanner has played 25 matches for Totton this season, having played 116 for the Fleet during his three-and-a half-year spell.

Tyler Cordner spent two separate loan spells with the Fleet, the first on loan from Bournemouth in 2019 and then again last season. The 27-year-old defender featured 44 times for the Fleet across both spells and arrived at AFC Totton in the summer on loan from York City.

Fleet goalkeeper Matt Hall featured five times for the Stags this season, having also played for them in 2019/20 before signing for Josh Wright’s side later last November.
