Jack Paxman will be plying his trade at a new club next season as the Fleet midfielder will pursue a new playing opportunity elsewhere.
The 29-year-old former Maidstone United and Billericay Town man makes the move following a mutual termination of his contract with the club.
Paxman made 75 appearances for the Fleet after joining following a successful trial in the summer of 2020. He earned the player of the year award in his first season and was a regular in Dennis Kutrieb’s midfield across two of the Fleet’s Vanarama National League South campaigns.
Last season an injury at Chatham in pre-season curtailed Paxman’s chances to establish himself in the side, although he scored his fourth and final goal for the club at Hemel Hempstead last October. He spent time on loan with Braintree Town, Dover Athletic and finally Worthing, where he helped the Rebels into the play-off semi-finals.
All of us at the Fleet wish Pax all the very best in his future. He was a hugely popular player at the club and we thank him for his contribution to the Fleet’s success in his time with us over the past three years.
