Rakish Bingham and Ben Chapman won’t be the only players entering a third season with the Fleet as they are now joined by midfielder Jack Paxman.
The summer 2020 signing from Billericay Town has put pen to paper on a new deal to keep him at the Kuflink Stadium through 2022/23.
Paxman, the 2020/21 supporters’ player of the year in his debut campaign in a red shirt, played 44 times in all competitions last season and like the aforementioned Bingham and Chapman, he was another to pass his half-century of games with the Fleet.
The 28-year-old scored twice last season and provided nine assists, two of those coming in the play-off semi-final and final at the tail end of 2021/22. Another hugely adaptable player, Paxman thrived in a wider role for much of the latter part of the campaign and his return is sure to please the Fleet faithful who quickly warmed to the former Maidstone man on their return to stadia following lockdown last summer.
