Craig Tanner has put pen to paper at the Fleet ahead of the 2024/25 Vanarama National League season.
Heading into his fourth season with the club, Tanner featured 28 times for the Fleet last season, with 93 appearances in total as he closes in on the 100-game milestone. Over the past three seasons, the 29-year-old has hit the back of the net 13 times for the club and topped the assists charts for each of those.
Another experienced head at the Kuflink Stadium who calls the Fleet home for a fourth campaign, Tanner spent his early career at Reading, later playing in the EFL with AFC Wimbledon and Plymouth Argyle. He was at Motherwell in the Scottish Premiership before a move to Aldershot Town under Danny Searle introduced him to National League football.
“I’m excited to re-sign and I’ve had some good memories here so I’m happy to continue that under Danny, Damian and the boys,” Tanner said to FleetTV. “There’s me, Ben Chapman, Raks and a few others who have been here for quite a long time now. I think it’s important to have players that have been here for a long time who know the ins and outs of the club.”
