Mitsubishi Electric fronting up to the Fleet once more

The club is delighted to announce that Mitsubishi Electric has agreed to extend its Principal Sponsorship of Ebbsfleet United for a further year.

As a result the Mitsubishi Electric logo, which has featured on Fleet shirts for the past four seasons, will once again adorn the front of next season’s shirt.

The announcement was formally made at Tuesday evening’s player sponsors’ evening which Mitsubishi Electric national sales manager Steve Fleming attended to collect the shirt he personally sponsored in 2017/18 from the Fleet’s top scorer, Danny Kedwell.

Fleet’s general manager Dave Archer said: “I am delighted to announce that the long-standing agreement with Mitsubishi Electric will be extended once again. Steve Fleming and the team from Mitsubishi Electric have been part of this story from the moment I arrived at this great club. This agreement means a great deal to me personally and long may it continue. Sponsors come and go; however, I have said from the beginning, this is much more than just a sponsorship.”

Steve Fleming, fresh from his celebrations following his first love Tranmere Rovers’ promotion back to the EFL (finally!), looked mightily relieved that he will avoid a clash of the two clubs next season. “It’s been a fantastic journey with Ebbsfleet as shirt sponsors and I never would have dreamed of a semi-final clash between the Fleet and Tranmere. Now I can relax for a year at least until the two meet again! Naturally, we at Mitsubishi Electric are delighted to tie up this deal with the club once more and look forward to working with all our friends at the Kuflink Stadium into 2018/19.”

As ever, it’s busy behind the scenes in the club’s commercial department and we will bring you news of further activity throughout the summer.
