Mitsubishi Electric fly Fleet flag in Far East

Ebbsfleet United received further worldwide exposure as participants from our principal sponsor’s cycling challenge posed for a photograph at the end of their gruelling 553km test.

The photo, taken at Mitsubishi Electric’s Chonburi factory – south of Bangkok – marked the end of a successful charity campaign that involved cycling from Ho Chi Minh City in Vietnam to Angkor Wat in Cambodia. Not only was the sheer distance and off-road nature of some of the tracks a challenge, but the cyclists coped with extreme heat and humidity and temperatures in excess of 35°C.

Mitsubishi Electric staff and key clients raised £104,000 in all in aid of Save The Children and the club would like to congratulate them all on their achievement.

The company’s name and logo will, of course, adorn the front of the Fleet’s shirts once again through the 2015/16 season and the kit launch will take place on July 1st.
