The club has this afternoon received notice from the FA that its Alliance Committee has rejected the well-defined and comprehensive proposal for a mini-league that was presented by those clubs in the Vanarama National League North and South who wished to continue the 2020/21 season through to a sporting conclusion.
While we are naturally disappointed that this is the final outcome of a campaign that everyone at the football club has worked so hard to nurture and develop, we accept the decision and now look ahead with a keen focus and anticipation to planning for the 2021/22 campaign, our club’s 75th anniversary season.
We will reflect on our achievements and endeavours during 2020/21 but we are already hard at work to bring our supporters the success and entertainment you desire as the very fabric of this club.
To our management, players and staff, we say a sincere thank you for everything – none of you could have worked harder and with more heart to make this season a success and you went above and beyond the call of duty. And to our supporters, as ever, you have never shirked in your backing despite being unable to attend the stadium.
Now that the season’s conclusion is finally decided, there are outstanding issues with regards to season tickets and sponsorships – we will have more information regarding this for supporters within the next week or so.
We then, more than anything, look forward to welcoming you back to the stadium as lockdown eases and normality hopefully resumes. We have missed your voices, your support, your backing and your presence at Ebbsfleet United this past 12 months and we look ahead with excitement and anticipation to 2021/22… together and in person.
