Striker Kwame Thomas is the Fleet’s newest announced signing after he left Aldershot Town where he helped propel them to a Top 10 finish last season.
A physically strong forward with excellent aerial attributes, the 28-year-old is another new arrival at the club who adds plenty of know-how and experience of the National League and higher.
The former Derby County youth appeared for England at U16-U20 level, playing alongside the likes of Jordan Pickford and made his debut in the Championship for the Rams in 2014/15. He enjoyed loan spells with Notts County and Blackpool before making a permanent switch to Coventry City in 2016.
A couple of seasons with Solihull Moors saw him face the Fleet before he stepped back into the EFL with Doncaster Rovers and Burton Albion.
He fired nine goals for Wrexham in the National League in 2020/21 before spells with Sutton United and Dundee, where he helped the latter win the Scottish Championship title in 2022/23.
Thomas – who earned his first cap for Saint Kitts & Nevis alongside Omari Sterling-James earlier this year – was a big part of Aldershot Town’s rejuvenation last season as he featured 42 times for them and played in their 4-1 win over us in March. He was offered a new deal at the Hampshire club but instead will be wearing Fleet red for the 2024/25 campaign.
