Kuflink call for champion Coker

Ebbsfleet United have signed reigning National League winner Ben Coker for the 2025/26 season following his arrival from champions Barnet.

The experienced left-sided defender was a key component in the Bees’ dominance of the National League over the past two seasons as he helped the club earn successive second- and first-place finishes at the non-league summit.

Coker has more than 400 senior appearances to his name and was also part of the Southend United side that earned promotion to League One.

The Hertfordshire-born attacking full-back was a former Northampton Town youth who came to the notice of Colchester United after winning promotion with Bury Town. He spent three years there, playing alongside Mark Cousins, before enjoying six years at Roots Hall with Southend, most of that period spent in League One following promotion in 2015.

Following spells with Stevenage and Solihull Moors, Coker arrived at The Hive in 2023 and has made 65 appearances across his two seasons there. He played in both games against the Fleet last season and was part of the starting lineup as Barnet closed in on and then clinched the National League title in April.

Amongst Coker’s first duties before the players return for pre-season duties was modelling the new Fleet kits at Brands Hatch and you can view more photographs of that event here.

Coker told FleetTV in his first interview since signing, “Last year was a great year for me and I played a lot of football… The move here was really straightforward and I can’t wait to get going again. All I want to do is get Fleet back into the National League and bring my enthusiasm to the team.”
