King’s Lynn: online programme and match info

National League North play-off qualifiers King’s Lynn Town make only their second visit of the past 30 years to us for this final home pre-season friendly.

The Linnets are under the care of new Head Coach James Rowe this season, the new man having replaced Halifax-bound boss Adam Lakeland. Rowe was previously with Gloucester City, Chesterfield and AFC Fylde and was also Aldershot assistant manager when we met them in the play-offs back in 2017/18.

He has overseen a big change in the playing squad this summer, and arguably his two main acquisitions are former King’s Lynn players returning for a second spell: skipper Michael Clunan switching after having just won the play-offs with Scunthorpe along with former Bromley striker Adam Marriott.

Up front, the Linnets also include former Fylde striker Gold Omotayo and ex-Chesterfield forward Michael Gyasi. Both have links to Kent having played for Maidstone and Dover respectively.

Fleet’s new signing Finlay Barnes played for King’s Lynn last season but he’s not the only ex-Linnet in the squad. Kwesi Appiah scored nine goals in 10 games for King’s Lynn on loan from Peterborough just after leaving the Fleet as a teenager.

King’s Lynn have played only four friendlies so far, the last one eight days ago a 1-1 draw with a Peterborough United XI.

For more about the game and our opponents, see our online programme – featuring former Linnet Barnes on the cover. It can be viewed and a PDF downloaded by visiting this link (click on the cloud icon to download the PDF).

Tickets are available in advance here. Admission is also available at our ticket windows on the day.
