Ebbsfleet United can this afternoon announce the signing of goalkeeper Dylan Berry following his departure from Norwich City earlier this week.
The 6ft 6in Berry, aged 21, is the latest addition to Danny Searle’s squad and he comes highly regarded from the Championship side’s academy ranks with plenty of loan experience alongside that.
The young goalkeeper reached U21 level with the Canaries after signing from Northampton Town in 2021, playing in the Premier League 2. He had almost a full season in the National League South with St Albans City in 2022/23, helping the Saints into the promotion final at the end of that campaign.
Last season he earned further National South experience with time at Havant & Waterlooville in between games back at Norwich in the PL2 and he ended the season taking part in the play-offs once again with Chelmsford City. He also featured for Macclesfield and Hendon in 2023/24.
Berry also has international honours, having represented Northern Ireland U19s and U21s where he was in the squad alongside our former loanee Tommy Fogarty.
The latest arrival, who was in the stands to watch Thursday’s open training session, told FleetTV, “It’s obvious there’s a lot of love for the club by the supporters here and it’s part of the reason I came here. It’s a really good opportunity for me to learn from Mark Cousins and really good competition too.”
